Friday, March 2nd, 2012: Preseason is a time for ballplayers to hone their skills and to get in shape for the long season ahead. Each player will be looked at closely during the preseason to determine who can help the club and who can't. This is what the preseason in SE2 Single A is all about and it starts today.  | Morrissey Selected SE2A's Best Hitter
Friday, August 19th, 2011: The SE2 Single A Top Hitter Award has been picked for 2011 and the honor goes to the talented Omaha Prospects first baseman Joe Morrissey.
This season he compiled a .288 batting average with 90 hits, 14 doubles, 2 triples and 14 home runs, along with 51 RBIs and 43 runs scored.

| Top SE2A Pitcher for 2011 Named
Thursday, August 18th, 2011: Jim Reed of the Omaha Prospects had a tremendous season and was chosen the Top Pitcher Award winner in the SE2 Single A.
He crafted a standout 10-3 mark in 16 starts, striking out 90, while walking 32. He worked 123.2 innings, yielded 67 hits and posted a 1.67 ERA. Opposing clubs had a .158 against him.
