Wednesday, March 7th, 2012: The Secondary Echelon preseason begins today with the release of the 2012 schedule. Teams will be headed out for spring training shortly and will have to determine the makeup of their regular season rosters before Opening Day.

Friday, November 4th, 2011: It's time for general managers across Secondary Echelon to pack their bags and get out of town. Winter Meetings wrap up today. There might still be time -- albeit fleeting -- for a trade maneuver or talks with a prospective free agent, but general managers need to keep their cool, lest they get talked into an unwise deal. Whatever happens here will have a lasting impact.

Monday, October 31st, 2011: The Secondary Echelon winter meetings are a godsend to a gabby baseball media hungry for rumors, intrigue and talk of a brighter day. Free agents will meet with prospective clubs. The fraternity of managers will gather in little clusters, assessing the past season, while GMs sit in their own little covens concocting intricate potions in the hope that they will be able to pull off a magical trade before the meetings close in three days.
