Friday, August 19th, 2011: Gary Taylor of the León Tentáculos had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Top Hitter Award for 2011.
The 31-year-old left fielder put up a .344 average and a .455 on-base percentage, piling up 107 hits, 19 doubles, 3 triples, 29 home runs, 91 RBIs and 78 runs scored.

 | PE1 Double A Top Pitcher Selected
Thursday, August 18th, 2011: He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Claudio Franco performed like a veteran on the hill for the Guadalajara Serpientes and walked away with the PE1 Double A Top Pitcher Award in the process.
The 25-year-old Serpientes star fashioned a 12-1 won-loss record in 2011 with a 1.97 ERA. In 141.1 innings of work and 19 starts, Franco struck out 103 while giving up 94 hits and 40 walks. He held opposing batters to a .189 average.
